When Janis, a young mother of four, vanishes from her small Mississippi town in the 1970s, the cracks in her perfect life are exposed. In 2019, after more than four decades, an investigator becomes determined to find out what happened to her. As host Larrison Campbell follows the twisty tale of Janis’s secret life, she takes listeners on a journey through three states, four marriages and the bed of at least one murderer. In the end, the trail of lies and forged documents lead to Janis–and a fate that no one in her old life ever imagined.
