Take Back The Beat with Natalie Gray and Farah T: two survivors of domestic abuse and violent attacks have teamed up to create a safe and inclusive podcast that audaciously explores the taboo subject of violence against women, in the hope of making it... well, not quite so taboo.
In this series, Natalie and Farah are in conversation with a range of guests who openly share their own experiences in dealing with violence against women.
Each episode looks at the effects of this particular kind of abuse through a different lens; expect inspiring stories from survivors, trained professionals and even self-defence instructors alongside so many others who are empowering women on their journey of recovery.
The podcast also offers advice as to where our listeners can find help and support for themselves, or people they know in similar situations.
If you or anyone around you are affected by the subject of this podcast, you can reach out to get help, advice or support at our charity partners Women's Aid at https://womensaid.org.uk or the Yorkshire based organisation IDAS at https://idas.org.uk or you can also find these links and reach out to us directly at takebackthebeat.co.uk or you can email us directly at [email protected].
