Reba, a wizened Harry Potter Scholar and Matt, the last Brit to not read the series, are going on an audio expedition to critique, riff, and theorise about the most popular Wizard Boy books around. Each episode will cover several chapters of the Harry Potter books, analysing them both as texts, and against a wider cultural context. Discussions include character dynamics, worldbuilding, and Matt explaining to Reba strange Britishisms at least once an episode.
This podcast is LBGTQ+ friendly, and is opposed to JK Rowling's trans exclusionary views. Trans rights are human rights. We aim to provide a fun, thought provoking discussion of the Harry Potter series that is very much aware of it's successes and shortcomings, and is not afraid to tackle political issues.
