The calls to change the current school system are growing by the day as more people realize that it doesn’t get the best out of children. It focuses more on putting children in boxes- an approach that limits their imagination and sometimes lowers their self-esteem.
There is a need to move beyond the uniform approach to teaching that ignores the fact that children are different. Beyond that, children need to be taught early on how to have a greater sense of self-awareness.
Programs that focus more on equipping children rather than the system or group have been shown to increase students' confidence and improve their problem-solving skills.
Today, I’m excited to be joined by Danielle Baker, founder of the online training center, Being Connected. She is also a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECCE), a College Professor, a Rapid Transformation Therapy Practitioner (RTTP), and the author of the upcoming book Bringing Up the World. She’ll share with us why the current education system is inadequate and things that can be done to improve it.
Tune in and listen to the fifth episode of the Zero to Infinity podcast and learn why we need to change our approach to education.
