The Power to Rest

Most people do not have the capacity or the power to rest. Rest is not automatic. Rest is not simply something that happens. Why is this true? Most people do not know how to close things! It’s not a sentence until there is a period at the end!  That doesn’t mean that the situation is over, but it does mean we have done all we can do up until this moment. How do we close situations? By becoming consistent in practicing God’s way of being and doing. There will be no rest apart from living God’s way. That’s putting a period at the end of every sentence our lives speak. That peace is agreement and connection that give our souls rest knowing our obedience brings God’s complete support and settles us in the safety and sufficiency of His love!
