All that glitters....

Have you ever saw one of those folded dollars on the ground, get excited, pick it up, just to unfold it and realize it is not money, but is an ad or a request for you to attend a church? How about seeing something sparkling on the ground and bend to pick it up thinking it is a diamond, but it turns out to be glitter? Are you holding on to something that you think is glitter, but it is really a diamond (or vice versa)?
