Finding My Voice: The Hope Behind My Speech Impediment With Kore Bendix

Pastor Kore Bendix, whose journey has been profoundly shaped by his speech impediment, is the Associate Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism at Grace Covenant Church in Chantilly, VA, leading a community outreach ministry called Grace Loves. Kore talks about his struggle with his speech impediment and the pain and shame he experienced as a child and young adult. After Kore engaged in destructive behaviors to avoid his pain, he eventually turned to God for emotional and spiritual healing. Kore listened to God’s calling on His life to be a minister of the gospel with a burning passion for helping people who are hurting so they, too, can be overcomers. He now realizes that his speech impediment is a gift that has helped him find his purpose. His leadership through Grace Loves has impacted countless families and organizations for several years.
