Divorce can carry a stigma in Indian society. People may fear being judged or marginalized by their community or extended family if they go through a divorce. This societal pressure can deter individuals from pursuing divorce, even if it may be the best option for their well-being. Changing societal attitudes towards divorce requires a community effort to promote empathy, understanding, and acceptance of individual choices while also respecting cultural values and traditions. 

I am so grateful to have my mother here today to discuss her own experience so others can see divorce isn't just white and black. She continues to amaze all of her daughters by putting her happiness as a priority in this lifetime.
