Winemaker Claire Richardson has always known that she wanted a life filled with passion, food and wine. After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Food Science and Technology, she accepted a role with William Chris Vineyards, one of the premier wineries in Texas. Understanding that her education needed to continue outside of the state, she left for the Southern Hemisphere, spending the next two harvests in New Zealand. She gives us her own experience as well as tips for how to make the scary jump of solo traveling and breaking societies social norms!
