#018 - Loop Battles, Hardcore (Outsiders in the Maintream), Kids Music For Parents

Nick was introduced this past week to the band Battles, loved them immediately and proceeded to completely overthink why that turned to disappointment after learning "how" they create music (he just complains about loop pedals).

Greg brings an excellent long-read about the increased popularity of Hardcore...a self-declared un-mainstream genre that's always held itself out as accepting of the outsider, but finds itself struggling to accept its mainstream acceptance (it's not as confusing when we talk about it).
