Episode 104: Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Ann Murdoch, Transgender Awareness

Today I welcome Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Ann Murdoch. Lt. Col Murdoch is a recipient of the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star and served in Afghanistan. During Lt. Murdoch’s entire military career, in fact her entire life, she harbored a secret that could have cost her career, family and even her life. Although she had a male body, and by all appearances she was a married father of two children, she had known her entire life that deep inside, she was really a woman. She was, and is, transgender. As things got to a crisis point, she had no choice but to deal with her gender dysphoria, so she began a three-year journey to transition from living as a man to living as her true, authentic self.
