Creating safer spin spaces: why I'm not playing Kanye West in my rides.

This quick episode is mostly for my fellow instructors, coaches, and fit-pros who make playlists (DJs, you too!)

 In it, I talk about my decision to eliminate Kanye West's music from my rides based on hate speech and anti-semitic remarks he's openly said, and doubled down on, in recent weeks.

Instructors: we have a platform, a pedestal, and a microphone that gives us the ability to create spaces where people feel safe, validated, connected to others, inspired by, and motivated from.

Getting intentional with the artists you play and the values they reflect is a key element of this, and a responsibility I'm continuously reminded of.
