In this episode, we get beyond the bad rap given to our premenstrual phase, and take a look at some of its inherent superpowers! The luteal phase, or what I like to call ‘Turning In’ has the autumnal quality of transitioning us from the high vibes of ovulation to the stillness and rest of menstruation.

If you’ve ever been disregarded because you’re ‘PMS-sing’ or if you’ve even written off your own thoughts and feelings once you realised you were having them while you were premenstrual, have a listen. We reframe the phase, and discover that our critical thinking and power of analysis are gifts of this time, if we know how to work with them.

If you’re not a menstruator, you’d be looking at the waning moon phase here, and following the moon’s cue to let go of shining bright in favour of turning inward.

A couple of other things:

Head to the Gifts page on my website anniecarter.com.au to download a free calendar I’ve made for you. It’s designed to help you to plan your schedule around your cycle (or the moon’s) to really get the most out of each phase. This is how I plan my own schedule, and if you want to explore aligning your life with your cycle, I think you’ll find it really helpful. Check it out, and let me know what you think.

Also, its NAIDOC Week (8 - 15 November) so head to naidoc.org.au to get some info and see all the awesome events and workshops on offer. The theme this year is ‘Always was, always will be.’ and it’s a great time to learn more and celebrate the culture, history and achievements of our First Nations peoples.
