What I’ve noticed is that for most of us, in a sick and twisted way … we like staying stuck in the negative or unwanted emotion. It’s a weird form of punishment that we do to ourselves isn’t it? Something happens and we spend SO MUCH TIME thinking about what happened, worrying about what might happen and telling ourselves stories in our mind. I was an expert in making myself feel like shit ... and for way longer than is healthy. My friend Pierre one time told me “Sandra, It’s ok to feel the way you’re feeling, it’s not ok to stay there”. I LOVED that and I quote him often, but I didn’t really know HOW to stop staying there!!
Until one day … I gained the strategy that I needed in order to do just that!
They key: don’t ignore it or pretend it doesn’t exist … FEEL it but don't FEED it. This episode will teach you how.
