It's December, and for many of us that means that there is a lot going on. Societal expectations of moms are high all year long, but around the holidays, these expectations take on a whole new meaning. As mothers, we can feel the pressure to create pure holiday magic for our children, and keep everyone happy by being three places at once in those important holiday moments.
But here's the thing: Doing the holiday things has very little do to with our jobs as mothers, and no one can make anyone else happy. Plain and simple.
So in this week's episode of The Worthy Mother Podcast, I am talking all about giving ourselves grace around the holidays - why it's so important and how we can start to do it. My hope is that you will walk away from this episode with a little more self-compassion, and a whole lot more understanding of how ridiculous it is that we equate decorating for Christmas with being a good mom.
