DREAMHOME Episode 55: A VIEW TO DIE FOR (Slashers!)

Hey WoHos!

This week we looked at DREAMHOME from Hong Kong and discovered that zip ties serve a variety of purposes!

This movie takes the housing crisis in Hong Kong in 2007 as the backdrop for a psychotically-driven woman whose only ambition is to own an apartment with a harbor view. The kills are creative, to say the very least, but the third kill does involve a pregnant woman so if discussion of that is too troublesome, please skip that part. The death is discussed from 27:00 ish to 29:00.

Mac had Covid, but he lives to tell the tale and recommends ENCANTO. Mom got real noir with it and recommends NIGHTMARE ALLEY and DETOUR from 1947. She is also enamored with BEFOREIGNERS and SEARCH PARTY...not quite horror, but horror adjacent.
