04 Jose Aguire (chptr 1 of novel)

Here we meet José Aguire, an Exploration Corps commander whose career is in jeopardy after a new government seizes control of the Earth. Aguire’s old enemy has been promoted to Admiral after helping to overthrow the old Federation by betraying its leaders, and Aguire must find a way to keep the Admiral from getting control of his future.  Things are getting bad on Earth, and Aguire wants a ship of his own to command.

This is the first chapter of the book Between Earth and Arcturus.
