Welcome back to part 2 of my interview with singer, songwriter and music therapist, Maya Rogers!
She’ll share how music played a major role in her recovery from a brain injury caused by a car accident and how her occupational therapist insisted she return to teaching music, which ultimately led her to become a music therapist.
As you hear about her challenges and triumphs in healing, you’ll see how music helps people recover and find joy—including how the rhythm/beat of music helps patients with Parkinson’s.
Since our recording, she has shared her light in so many ways. You can find out more about Maya Rogers music here (The Gathering - EP - Album by Maya Rogers - Apple Music) and more about her children's book, (“Orion and the Remembering Tree!) and more by following her @Maya Rogers.
THANK YOU for listening!!
Love and Peace,
Leticia
