Sara Austin is the Founder & CEO of Children First Canada. She has more than 20 years of global and Canadian experience advocating for children. Her work has taken her into the top circles of power in the United National, national governments, and boardrooms around the world. She led a global campaign that resulted in the adoption of the UN Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This ground-breaking law allows kids or their advocates to hold governments accountable for violations of children’s rights. You’ll find her name on several “most powerful” lists and boards, and for good reason. Sara is married and has a son, and she is a cancer survivor.

Stephanie and Sara discuss careers in the not-for-profit/charitable sector. They also discuss Children First Canada and why it’s work is important right now, including life for kids during COVID-19. Sara is a talented intentional leader and we are so pleased we can share her career and life lessons with you!
