WiSP Sports Desk: S3E24 - Let the Games Begin

With two days to go the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the news from Tokyo is coming thick and fast, and it’s not all good news as Nancy explains in her round up of the top stories. Also Chris spoke to former New Zealand Football Fern midfielder Katie Duncan about the Olympic tournament and what the Ferns can expect. Katie made 131 appearance for the Ferns, including three Olympic Games and three World Cups, plus two U20 World Cups. In her amazing career she also played for Bad Neuenahr, Notts County, FC Zurich and Melbourne Victory. Since retiring at the end of 2019 Katie has been coaching three teams while she and her wife; former Ferns player Cilla Duncan, raise a family. They have a two year daughter Nadia and are expecting a second child later this year.
