Kirstin offers another perspective on how the GI tract can work for you, or against you. We first get to hear how training is going for her with two weeks to go to Half Ironman Indian Wells. Kirstin tells us about a very cold swim in preparation for the cold water on race day - sometimes it's just doing what it takes, although arguably 51 degrees is pushing those limits a bit far! Kirstin then takes us back to her summer of races and finally opens up and discusses the health issues she experienced after she suffered from heat stress during races. It caused a wreck of inflammation and she wasn't sure she'd even be able to race Indian Wells in December. But she applied the plan she set herself up and carefully eased back into training. The question is now—is she feeling prepared for race day‽
