This week it’s the ‘hot’ topic of inflammation which all athletes deal with eventually. Kirstin addresses the second part of the training block where inflammation builds up in the body, we get those adaptations to exercise, and then... it stops. We plateau. This is often where athletes increase their training and try even harder but they run the risk of running themselves into overtraining versus running themselves back into performance improvements. We also cover in further detail which markers are signs of increased inflammation and what you can do to improve chronic inflammation levels, if you know this is something you've been dealing with for a while.
