News Desk: S4E5 - Barty is Simply the Best

The Australian Open crowned a new champion last weekend with home-country heroine Ash Barty successfully defeating Danielle Collins 6-3, 7-6. Australia beat Ireland to win the Spain Sevens Rugby with the US just out of the medals. We have World Cup skiing news from last weekend’s Downhill and Super-G which were won by Switzerland’s Corrine Suter and Austria’s Connie Heuter. With the Winter Olympics starting this week we hear that Elana Meyers Taylor tested positive to Covid upon arrival in Beijing, and the IOC warned against "inappropriate" Peng Shuai meeting during the Games. Plus we have football news from both the NWSL and WSL as well as cricket from Down Under where England have work today in the Ashes series. And finally an update in netball for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
