Beyond the Balls: s1e4 - Former Hockeyroos Player Turned Broadcaster Ashleigh Nelson

On this week's episode Ella and Georgina chat with Ash Nelson who played for the Hockeyroos from 2007 to 2017. She has 205 caps and has scored 69 goals. Ash competed at two Commonwealth Games and was on the 2012 London Olympics squad. In 2010, Ash graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and worked as an Occupational Therapist while playing professionally. Nowadays, Ash has thrown herself into the world of broadcasting. In 2017-18, she hosted her own podcast, The Circle, with WiSP Sports and now works at Perth radio station 6PR in Western Australia. Ash is also an ambassador for Lifeline and RUOK.
