Mark Dowdle is Superintendent of Gates of the Arctic National Park in the far north of Alaska. Mark has been with the National Park Service for 24 years and started his new assignment at Gates of the Arctic in April of this year. He previously served as the deputy superintendent of Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina and has served as a park ranger, supervisor, and manager in a number of parks including the National Parks of Boston, Yosemite National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Yellowstone National Park.
