John Horning is Executive Director of Wild Earth Guardians, based in Laramie, Wyoming. John grew up in Washington, D.C. on a street that borders Rock Creek Park, one of the wildest urban parks in our country where he cultivated an appreciation for the solace of wild spaces. John graduated for Colorado college in 1989 where he developed a life-long appreciation for the writings of Wallace Stegner. John has worked for a variety of environmental education and advocacy groups and moved to New Mexico in 1994 where he joined the staff of what would later become Wild Earth Guardians.
