75 Years of coverups in the New Mexican desert began with a sighting in June of 1947. Shortly after the Army announced it had in it's possession one of these down craft but upon release of that information immediately withdrew the story and inserted their own account.  They claimed the incident reported was nothing more than the wreckage of a weather balloon. However after more witnesses came forward the government was forced to defend their position and instead now said the weather balloon story was a cover for a top secret upper atmospheric listening device to detect Soviet A-Bomb tests.  As Roswell fever spread and the legend grew new allegations of crashed UFOS along with alien bodies forced a new final report from the government. This time they claimed the alien bodies were crash test dummies dropped from high altitude balloons.  Whatever it might have been that crashed in the desert all those years ago, it has created one of the most widely known legends of all time.
