Carl Tanzler was a German-born radiology technician in Florida when he met Elena Hoyos, a patient of the hospital with tuberculosis. Elena was the woman of Carl’s dreams and the answer to his visions. He quickly developed an obsession for her that carried on well after her death and involved the removal of her corpse from its resting place.
