Okay, so we had an entire military, but Maverick was still pretty important. Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, we’re soaring high on sweet ‘80s tunes and shirtless dudes in locker rooms.

While the love story between Maverick and Charlie was the model of a passionate relationship to a younger Elise, she now only sees a successful woman being poorly wooed by a pompous young gay man. That’s right, the REAL love story in this film is between Maverick and Iceman. #TakeMyBreathAway
