Sometimes we pretend to feel differently in order not to reveal ourselves and not appear vulnerable or weak because we do not want to be that.
Sometimes we want to protect others so they won’t have to consider how to support us or what to say to comfort us.
Maybe we don't want others to worry about us or make them feel uncomfortable in the situation. Sometimes we are just afraid to open up and be vulnerable.
We might feel that we get judged in our grief or in our painful life changes.
