Episode 22 - Featuring Nick Pollard

Today I’m joined by Nick Pollard, aka The People Displeaser. Nick is a recovered people pleaser and a recovered alcoholic, who has committed to helping others achieve the same. If you haven’t seen his videos on IG, FB, Tik Tok, or YT, you have done yourself a disservice. As a “recovered from a whole bunch of BS” guy myself, as soon as I saw a couple of Nick’s videos, I said to myself, “this dude gets it” 

This one is a little longer than usual but it's raw, authentic, funny, honest, and I didn't find much to cut out! You're going to enjoy it!

How does Nick do such a great job on his videos? I wouldn’t know because mine suck in comparison 😊

How “Hope this helps” came to be! And the advent of The People Displeaser on Instagram.

Nick’s life imploded after a brutal discovery from his childhood. Various coping mechanisms later, finds out there’s some buried trauma that needed to get dealt with.

Painting over the BS leaves us with the same painted over BS.

Doing life for everyone else. Toxic people and the toll they can have on our lives.

Learning to do something for Nick. Started to travel. Led to 2-1/2 years of travel. Launched the coaching company. How do I do more of what I want to do and get myself where I want to be?

Doing stuff we may not want to do but we do anyway, to move our lives forward.

Let’s talk about boundaries but let’s also NOT talk about boundaries anymore! 😊

Nothing we do matters, which means everything we do matters! Finding joy in the simplicity of life and getting myself in order so that I’m able to help others.

The meaning of Life is: Adventure, Love, Kindness

Try to keep the ass-kicking machine in the off position as much as possible. These are the fights.

“If you’re not changing it, you’re choosing it”

If I’m looking to launch in this lifetime, I need to understand what is next to me on my launch pad and respond accordingly.

The more work on me that I do, the luckier I get. Who knew?
