🎙️ EPISODE TITLE: "No Hormones? No Problem! 🔥 Non-Hormonal Birth Control 101"

Episode Synopsis:

No hormones? No Problem! In this first part of an all new Afternoon Delight series, w break down all forms of non-hormonal options for making love, without making babies love options. We love options and when it comes to birth control, there’s no one-size-fits-all! While hormonal methods work great for many, they’re not the only way to prevent pregnancy.

🔥 What’s on the agenda? 🔥

✔️ Barrier methods—Condoms, diaphragms, and cervical caps (Do you really know how to use them right? Let’s find out!) 🛑💦

✔️ Spermicide & Gels—A little extra protection or a sneaky secret weapon? 🏊‍♂️☠️

✔️ The pull-out method—Does it actually work? We’ve got the stats to settle the debate. 😏🔄

✔️ Surgical solutions—From vasectomies to tubal ligations, what does permanent birth control really mean? ✂️🚫

No shade to hormones, but if you’re looking for other ways to stay baby-free, we’ve got you covered. We’re busting myths, breaking down effectiveness rates, and giving you the facts—so you can find what works for YOU.

Some fun facts about condoms for your brains:

1️⃣ Effectiveness: When used perfectly, condoms are 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. But with typical use (because let’s be real, no one is perfect), effectiveness drops to about 87%.

2️⃣ STI Protection: Condoms are the ONLY birth control method that also protects against sexually transmitted infections (STIs), reducing the risk of HIV transmission by about 80% and significantly lowering the risk of other STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhea.

3️⃣ Breakage & Slippage: About 2% of condoms break or slip off during sex. Using the right size, checking expiration dates, and using water- or silicone-based lube (not oil-based!) can help reduce this risk.
