But then comes your kid’s birthday… and suddenly, you want to go all in.

That was me. I threw a bigger party than I normally would for my son. Not over the top—but more than I usually spend. And here’s the thing: it wasn’t about money. It was about telling him, “You’re worth it. You deserve to be celebrated. You’re loved.”

And that’s when it hit me: this is what God does for us too.

He doesn’t just train us, discipline us, or prepare us for hard things. Sometimes, He simply delights in us. He blesses us for no other reason than that we’re His kids.
