Electric Vehicles:

The Lucid Dream is going into proper production with deliveries beginning in October!

Madrid has purchased 30 more fully electric buses for a total of 85 electric transit buses in their fleet.

EVOLVE KY has installed 82 Level 2 EV chargers in Louisville, Kentucky that are free to use.

Tennessee's governor announced a new technical college to support the workforce at the new Ford EV battery plants to be built in Tennessee.

  • The college will be developed in conjunction with SK Innovation and Ford (who are jointly building the battery plant).

Lordstown is selling a significant amount of its factory to Foxconn.

  • Lordstown isn't selling its motor or battery lines, though.
  • The factory will also be used for Fisker EV production.
  • Foxconn is also buying $50m worth of Lordstown stock.

GM is planning on having its U.S. plants run on 100% renewable electricity by 2025 instead of the previous goal of 2030.

Tesla now has a "trial period" for gaining access to the "Full Self Driving" beta.

Other:

FAA is implementing an efficiency program at 27 airports that will reduce taxiing time and save a ton of fuel/emissions.

  • The software was developed in partnership with NASA!
  • The pilot project (hehe) saved 275k gallons of fuel, equal to 185 flights between Chicago and New York.
  • It reduced average taxi time by 15min per flight.
  • This will save 75k tons of CO2 emissions annually.
