Ep.137 - Pegasus, Toxic Hair Products & 4-6 Hour Films

In a week where:

1. Turkey & Greece are the latest countries to suffer wildfires.
2. Amazon is dealt a $888 Million EU fine for a data privacy breach.
3. Latin is going to be taught in English State Schools.
4. DaBaby is taken off several festival line-ups after homophobic comments & two apologies.
5. China is starting to have another COVID outbreak.

In Sports: (10:59) The Olympics are in it's final days and as we know, Tokyo is going to economically crater after the Games are done, but can the Olympics be done at a more logical cost?

In the 1st of two Life segments: (25:01) Several news orgs around the world have been reporting on a privately sold spyware called "Pegasus" that have been used by governments. So what is it? And should the regular person be worried?

In the 2nd Life segment: (38:08) It's well known that there are hair products explicitly marketed to black women. But campaigners & research are now pointing towards 'lye' as a potential reason for why black women suffer health complications at a higher rate compared to white women.

Lastly, in Film/TV: (52:18) With the hype around "Dune" starting to build, Jason Momoa has said that we should see the '4-6 hour' cut of it. I don't. But if you feel like that is what should be shown and you don't want to bill it as a TV show, I have a solution that'll make everyone happy.
