In a week where:
In Life: (7:10) The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is not just an unnecessarily long name, but it's something that could fundamentally change day-to-day society, for better and worse.
In the first of two Film/TV segments: (23:22) "Sound of Metal" is a film that was laser-focused on delivering an experience that utilised sound more than most films. And the methods they used fascinate someone like me that's always listening to something.
In the 2nd FIlm/TV segment: (34:23) You would think that a pandemic that forces you to stay inside would benefit Screenwriters. But for the ones in big-time writing rooms, doing things virtually mostly hindered their habits.
Lastly, in Music: (50:48) Lil Baby's Grammy performance is the latest in a string of performative performances that are way too grandiose and 'on the nose' for a topic such as police brutality. There needs to be a conversation on why artists are going down this road.
