In a week where:
In the first of two Life segments: (9:12) The New Statesman's Pippa Bailey meditates on doing what I and everyone needs to do, quitting Facebook; referencing Netflix' "The Social Dilemma" as a catalyst.
In Sports: (23:48) The NBA has a wealth of black Assistant Coaches, but the air starts to thin when it comes to black Head Coaches. Former player Etan Thomas highlights the intangible importance of a black Head Coach.
In Film/TV: (36:14) After an appearance on Frankie Boyle's "New World Order", comedienne Sophie Duker did the rounds on certain racist platforms. She writes a quippy response to the backlash & the rules that black comedians still face in 2020.
Finally, in the 2nd Life segment: (50:10) Last week The House of Commons, for the first time ever, had the term "Critical Race Theory" mentioned in a debate. The reasons for which are, of course, backward yet unsurprising.
