In this episode, Arnie and Fred discuss what the Bible says about being saved by faith or works. For many people, the Bible seems to give a mixed message: can we be saved by works? Not saved by works? Saved by faith? Or what? By the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church had begun essentially teaching salvation by works: indulgences, penance, sacraments, and so forth. So as the Protestant Reformation began, some reformers ran to the opposite extreme of salvation by faith only. WE discuss what the Bible says.
