In this episode, Arnie and Fred continue the discussion about the local body of Christ. We note the responsibility of elders in the local body as required by the New Testament pattern, as well as their qualifications in order to serve in that capacity. The pattern also identifies special servants in each local assembly, the work they are to do and the qualifications they need to meet in order to serve. Each assembly is to worship God as He has directed. His directions have been recorded by the inspired writers in the New Testament. We discuss those 5 items of worship and the note that each local assembly follows the same written pattern. There is work that God has assigned to each congregation and we note what that work is. The Lord's New Testament pattern also contains a particular lifestyle that His disciples are to follow. Finally we note that the Lord has specified a particular name for the members of His local churches. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion.
