We are typically involved in "doing" in response to events around us, not realizing what feelings and thoughts bridge the relationship between events and our reactions. Since feelings can serve as a sensitive thermometer that measures how events around us affect us, naming our feelings can be one way for us to understand ourselves better. One step on the pathway to wellness is connected to understanding our feelings.
