Marci Marie Simmons was from a good upbringing, and had a good job. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison for in 2011 for stealing a total of $367k. Although a lot of money, the punishment did not match the crime. She was in a maximum security prison with violent offenders, and even spent time in solitary!
