Bṛhad-bhāgavatāmṛta Part 2 Chapter 1 Text 39
vastu-tattvānabhijño ’nyat
sa kiñcit pāra-laukikam
sādhanaṁ kila sādhyaṁ ca
vartamānam amanyata
TRANSLATION
Ignorant of the real facts, he thought that something other than this mantra must be his means of success in the next life and something else must be his final goal.
