The Samaritans placed their trust in Simon’s abilities. In today’s world, who or what do people often look to as “great” or worthy of trust? Why are these things ultimately insufficient?
Simon wanted God’s power for his own purposes. How do we sometimes fall into the trap of transactional faith, treating our relationship with God as an exchange rather than a surrender?
In what ways can we make sure our faith is anchored in the “greatest”—trusting in Jesus for who He is, not just what He gives?
