Desiré D’Amour has been stripping since the 90s, and in burlesque for nearly 24 years. Telling tales from the San Francisco strip club to the legendary goat ranch years of Exotic World to the current incarnation of Burlesque Hall of Fame (and its spectacular Weekender), Desiré shares with Viktor thoughts on bridging the gap between historical burlesque and its present incarnation, proper pronouncing and advocating for correcting others, jealousy, diversity versus tokenism, learning from Harvest Moon and the Cantankerous Lollies, that famous backbend, what is and is not and is and is not burlesque (and being open to reconsidering), the evidently contentious response to the royal court of Miss Exotic World 2023, technology affecting burlesque and industry connection, the purpose of Ranch Undressing, and maybe a glimmer of what's to come.
