The goal is to offer a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution to the large energy consumption issue in AI. The total venture funding for semiconductor chip startups in 2024 has reached nearly $5.3 billion across 175 deals, reflecting a recovery in the market compared to previous years. Notable deals include Black Semiconductor's $275 million raise, Celestial AI's $175 million in March, and Recogni's $102 million in February, with Samsung reportedly leading a $300 million round for Tenstorrent.
