The jury is still out on Darwins influence in Herbert Spencer's ideas... but the correlation is clear enough to say that Herbert was, in the very least influenced by Darwin, and used Darwin's theories to support wicked ideologies as 

authoritarianism, 

eugenics, 

racism,

imperialism, 

fascism, 

Nazism
