Today we're taking a closer look at the forecast for Houston, Texas. Let's dive right in!

Now, if you're in Houston today, get ready for some showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3pm. It's gonna be partly sunny with a high near 83. Expect a southeast wind blowing at 5 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour. Yep, there's a 70% chance of precipitation, so grab that umbrella just in case.

Tonight, more showers and thunderstorms are likely before 4am, then a slight chance after 5am. Keep an eye out for heavy rainfall with a low around 72. The southeast wind will continue at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Moving on to Friday, there's a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 7am. It'll be mostly cloudy with a high near 85, and the wind will shift from southeast to west.

As we head into the weekend, Saturday is looking mostly sunny with a high near 91, and Sunday will be sunny as well with a high near 91.
