Nehemiah is one of the most fascinating accounts in Israel’s history. It reads like a movie in telling the historical account of a nation in political, social, and spiritual turmoil. Nehemiah is called by God to rebuild the walls and gates of Jerusalem but in doing so issues arise and the opposition continues. It has been said that if “Satan can’t destroy you, he’ll distract you” and Nehemiah’s opposition starts working overtime as they work to finish the wall.
