Tracey opened up about her early experiences with substance abuse, revealing that she started smoking weed every day at a young age. At 18, she was introduced to laced weed with crack by her first child's father. Following his tragic murder, she found herself alone and struggling to cope.
For more than three decades, from the age of 18 to 51, Tracey battled addiction to cocaine and crack, with attempts to get clean through rehab proving unsuccessful as she initially pursued recovery for the wrong reasons. During her addiction, Tracey distanced herself from family, isolating herself out of shame. Her journey included serving two prison sentences, where she made a personal vow to stay off drugs.
Throughout this challenging period, Tracey grappled with self-esteem issues. However, after hitting rock bottom and losing everything, she found new strength and solace in faith, believing that God had provided her with more than she had lost. Tracey's story also includes surviving three abusive relationships, further highlighting her resilience and determination to overcome life's obstacles.
Her testimony serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles faced by those battling addiction and the possibility of finding redemption and rebuilding one's life even after enduring immense hardship.
