Has Excellence Become an Idol?

No one would argue against the idea of doing things with excellence. Our church services are no different. We hope to plan and execute our worship services with excellence, but have we taken it too far? 

Is it possible that in our pursuit of excellence, we've accidently made "excellence" an idol?
